Catching Lake Monsters by Ethan

This was my very first Mekong catfish that I have ever caught and touched.  Trying to pull this catfish in wasn't easy.  You had to pull as hard as you can, slowly, then go down and reel fast as you go down.
This picture is of me trying to catch my second biggest catfish of the day.  This picture shows me pulling in the catfish.  It was really tricky and at some stage it almost pulled me in.
To reel this catfish in I reckon it took about 10 or 12 minutes.  It was really hot and I was sweating.  Dad thinks it was at least 40 degrees and he also thought the biggest catfish I caught was about 10 kilos.
This was Dad's biggest catfish, he caught the second biggest of the day, he was the sweetest of the day and he caught the most fish after me.
Mum caught the biggest fish of the day.
Ella got help from Mum to catch this giant catfish.

When I finished pulling in this  catfish in my arms
ached really bad.I caught about 15 catfish, the most in the family.  When we caught them we took photos of the biggest ones and then we carefully released them back into the lake.  The biggest ones were the hardest to release because they got stuck on the bank so we had to gently push them back into the deep.

Elephant Kisses by Ethan

This is me getting a photo with a Chang.
When they KISSED! me it felt really nice.
My mum got a  photo and the elephants raped there trunks around her.

My  dad  and me had a photo and these two elephants were kissing him to.
This elephant put the mans hat on me and when he did that he pated down the hat.
Before the elephant show we watched the mahouts and their elephants bath in the river.
These ladies job is 'pooper scooping' the elephants poo before it floats down the river.  Can you see the elephant poo floating on top of the water?
This the elephant show.  The elephants played soccer, did paintings and made a wall with logs.
Ella and Marcia are feeding banana's to the elephant.
This is at the baby elephant enclosure, we walked a long long way to get there and we were the only ones.  The Mum ate all the food and when we threw banana's to the baby elephant he peeled the banana's and then ate a little bit of it, after that he stood on them.
