Snaps shots in Bangkok

 In a Long Tail boat on the Chao Phrya River, Bangkok  in 39 degrees of heat.
 Giant Monitor Lizard, we spotted 4 that day.
 After bottles and bottles of water, it's time for a sit down and a 'real' drink - still 39 degrees:-)

The Silk Farm in Chiang Mai by Ella


Hi Room 6.  Have you ever wondered what makes silk and how?
By the way, these are silk moths and by the way, my Dad is scared of moths:-)
 If you see the silk moth lay eggs which hatch into caterpillars.
These are the silk moth cocoon
After the cocoon they boil the cocoon and start winding the silk thread off the cocoon.
They get the silk thread, colour it with natural products like flowers and seeds and coffee beans and herbs.  They put the thread on a loom and she makes the pattern.
